Nagmistulang early promotion nina Richard Gutierrez at Cristine Reyes for the movie Patient X ang isinagawang relief operations ng GMA Kapuso Foundation kahapon.

Magkasama ang dalawa na namigay ng mga relief goods para sa mga kababayan nating nasalanta ng bagyong Ondoy (Ketsana).

Forbes 400 Richest Americans for 2009

At a very young age of 25, Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest among the 400 Richest Americans for 2009, according to Forbes Magazine.

Still single and a Harvard University drop-out, Zuckerberg has a net worth of 2 billion dollars and is currently ranked #158 richest American.

Zuckerberg is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the very popular networking site Facebook.

Still on top of the annual Forbes 400 Richest Americans list for the second consecutive year is Microsoft's Bill Gates with 50 billion dollar net worth.

Generally, compared to the previous Forbes 400 lists, Americans are poorer this year and are most likely to get poorer next year.

Director and producer Steven Spielberg is ranked #97 while TV host Oprah Winfrey is 141st.

Hannelly Quintero from Venezuela is Miss Intercontinental 2009

Miss World 2008 semi-finalist Hannelly Zulami Quintero Ledezma has just won the title of Miss Intercontinental 2009.

The 23-year-old model and TV host from Venezuela won over 60 other lovely and stunning delegates from different countries during the grand finals that took place last night, September 27, 2009 in Minsk, Belarus.

Hannelly also won the continental title: Miss Intercontinental America 2009.

She took over the crown from Cristina Camargo, Miss Intercontinental 2008 from Colombia.

The host delegate from Belarus was 1st Runner Up while the Philippines' bet Jacqueline Schubert (Mutya ng Pilipinas Tourism International 2009) was unplaced.

Josh Groban tweeted last Saturday: "My heart goes out to my friends in the Philippines"

Demi Lovato said 23 hours ago: "Come on guys, the Red Cross is a beautiful thing and the Philippines need OUR help.. Let's put it to good use and make our country proud."

Celebrities also affected by 'Ondoy'

Philippine's Sexiest Woman Cristine Reyes is just one of the many celebrities, rich and famous, who were directly affected by the Tropical Storm Ondoy last weekend.

During the height of Tropical Storm Ondoy (international name: Ketsana) last Saturday, Cristine Reyes and some family members were stranded on the rooftop of their 3-storey house at the Provident Village in Marikina City.

They got trapped there for more than 12 hours until Cristine's close friend Richard Gutierrez saved them at around 8 in the evening.

And Cristine must really thank GMA Films and Viva Films for casting her in the movie "Patient X" where she co-stars with Richard. If not because of the movie, Cristine and Richard would not get close to each other and Richard would not dare save her from that life-threatening incident.

Aside from Cristine, there were also other famous celebrities who shared the same plight of the ordinary people and also experienced being trapped by Ondoy's flood at their respective residence.

They were Gladys Reyes, 6-month preggy Sylvia Sanchez, K Brosas, Jean Garcia and daughter Jennica, Jayson Gainza, Chokoleit, Bentong, Ogie Diaz and couple Zoren Legazpi-Carmina Villaroel.

The abovementioned names have been rescued already and are now safe.

Let's continue to pray for all the victims of Tropical Storm Ondoy.

'One Time' by Justin Bieber is #1 on MYX Hit Chart

In just three weeks, the song "One Time" by Justin Bieber is now on top of MYX Hit Chart for its September 27, 2009 tally.

It debuted on MYX three weeks ago at #13, then went up 5 notches on Week 2 and for its third week, it's now the most requested video in the said countdown.

Just like Filipino singing sensation Charice Pempengco, Justin Bieber is also a Youtube discovery.

In 2007, he posted on Youtube the videos of some of his performances from a singing competition in Canada called "Statford Idol" where he placed 2nd.

"People liked them and they started subscribing to them. That's how my manager [Scooter Braune] found me. He saw me on YouTube and contacted my family and now I'm signed!," Justin shares on his Myspace account.

But take note, Justin was only 13 then.

After that, Justin flew to the US to meet up with different record producers, two of which were Usher and Justin Timberlake, but Bieber grabbed Usher's record deal.

With Usher as his record producer, Justin Bieber signed up with Island Def Jam Records in October of 2008.

And this 2009, at a very young age of 15, Justin, who was officially launched just last April, now has a chart-topping hit and on his way to becoming the next music superstar.

Google is celebrating its 11th birthday today!

If you're searching on google.com or the universal Google USA (and not the google.com.ph or Google Philippines), you'll see that Google logo is misspelled.

The Google logo has two l's on it, as in "Googlle", to look like the number 11.

Google was incorporated in September 7 of 1998, but in 2005, they've officially declared September 27 as their birthday.

The cast of 'Rubi'

The Pinoy version of the hit 2004 Mexican telenovela Rubi will premiere soon on ABS-CBN.

Playing Rubi is Angelica Panganiban and this marks her first teleserye where she plays the title role.

The Mexican version of Rubi was already aired on ABS-CBN's morning slot back in 2005 and during that time, Rubi was tagged as "Ang Bidang Kontrabida."

Also in the cast are Diether Ocampo, Jake Cuenca, Shaina Magdayao, Cherrie Gil, Gardo Versoza, Susan Africa, Allan Paule, Kaye Abad and Cherry Pie Picache.

"Rubi" is also ABS-CBN's first ever remake of a Mexican soap.

Another possible remake of a Mexicanovela is "Maria Mercedes" which will star Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz.

Frontal Nudity King Marco Morales topbills another gay movie under the direction of award-winning director Joel Lamangan.

The soon-to-be-released movie entitled "I Luv Dreamguyz" or "I ♥ Dreamguyz" whatsoever is a dance movie with a gay theme.

I have seen the 4-minute trailer on Youtube and indeed, the guys who call themselves as "Dreamguyz" are daring and dreamy especially former Anim-E member Mhyco Aquino and Starstruck 3 Top 16 finalist Jay L Dizon.

Aside from Marco, Mhyco and Jay-L, also expect a lot more skin from Sherwin Ordoñez and newbie Miggy Valdes.

Six more applicants for the Mister International Philippines 2009 title

A total of 49 gorgeous men emerged from the different screenings for Mister International Philippines 2009, starting on August 01 until last Saturday, September 19, 2009.

Six of them came during the September 19 screening and one of them is Fil-Brit Brian Wilson Peredo who was recently included as one of the Cosmo 69 Bachelors for 2009.

So, for the record, there are five Cosmo bachelors competing for a slot in the Top 12 Finalists: Brian Wilson, Dale Dizon, Anton Malko aka David Hoffe, Earl Zanoria and Akihiro Sato-lookalike Julian Roxas who auditioned the other Saturday.

Also screened were G. Filipinas Expo-World 2009 Jimmy Dionisio and Mr. Globe Philippines-Freedom Day 2009 Julian Jerry Binarao.

Jimmy was also a Top 7 finalist at Body Heat Model Search 2008 and a contestant at Hataw Superbodies Bikini Open 2009 while Julian also joined Ginoong Filipinas 2009, Heatwave Summer Bikini Showdown 2009, Mr. Expo-World Int'l Philippines 2008 and Mr. Hundred Islands 2009 where he was Mr. Tourism (2nd Runner Up).

John Lapus, binastos ang Peñafrancia Festival?

It seemed like Showbiz Central host John Lapus was unaware of what's being celebrated during Peñafrancia Festival in Naga City.

John Lapus was in Naga City yesterday, September 19, para sa Kapuso Peñafrancia Fiesta Mall Show ng GMA Regional Network at SM City Naga.

September 19, 2009 was the third Saturday of the month and the feast day of the Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia.

John was with other Kapuso artists such as Rochelle Pangilinan, Jean Garcia and Dingdong Dantes.

Nagkataon namang nasa Naga ako now for the Peñafrancia fiesta.

Galing ako sa LCC Mall Naga to watch Coco Martin Mall Tour nang mapadaan ako sa SM City Naga to buy some groceries.

Kasalukuyang ginaganap noon ang nasabing Kapuso show sa SM City Naga Event Center at akto namang naabutan ko si John Lapus doing stand-up comedy.

He called one guy from the audience at 'dun na nangyari ang hindi dapat mangyari.

John Lapus was in his "very gay" self when he did some funny stuff for the audience.

Nagkaroon ng role playing na kunyari'y magsyota sila ng nasabing Bicolano guy to the point na malaswa na pala para sa ilan ang pinag-gagawa nila na usually mapapanood mo noon sa may Baywalk o kaya sa mga comedy bar.

Nagharutan, nagyakapan at nagkaroon pa ng s*x simulation at butt-grabbing.

Nag-alay pa ng kanta si John Lapus sa lalake, but he ended the song by kneeling down to the guy with the microphone right infront of the guy's crotch area.

May malaking monitor pa sa may side ng stage kaya kitang-kita ng mga audience ang ginawa nila.

At eto pa ang nakaka-shock especially sa mga devotee ni Ina na nagkataong nanood doon after the fluvial procession earlier that day. Bago pababain ni John Lapus ay nakipag-lips-to-lips pa ito. It was not a smack kiss. The kiss was intense and lasted for about 5 seconds sabay pakita sa monitor ang isang bata, na siguro 2 years old na, at tumatawag ng "Papa!"

The guy that John Lapus kissed was a married man with his wife and super young kid watching in the audience. And John Lapus knew that beforehand.

I could not imagine that SM allowed such thing to happen. I thought SM is also very religious. In fact, they have a mass every Sunday.

Marami na rin akong napanood na mga mall show sa ibang SM malls, pero it was my first na makapanood nang ganun sa SM.

And what was John Lapus thinking to do such acts in a family-friendly mall like SM and in a very religious festival like that of Peñafrancia Festival?

Hindi ba raw siya kinilabutan na ang background pa mandin nila sa stage ay may nakalagay na malaking "Peñafrancia"?

Peñafrancia Festival is considered as the biggest and most popular religious celebration in the Philippines.

It's not wrong to promote fun in a religious festivity but not that kind of fun.

Yes, it was actually so funny and very entertaining, but it was made in a wrong place at a wrong time.

Coco Martin overwhelmed by jampacked mall tour in Naga City

I'm currently here in Naga City for the Peñafrancia Festival 2009 and yesterday afternoon, I had a chance to finally see Coco Martin in person during his solo mall show at the Liberty Commercial Center or LCC Mall.

When I arrived at the venue, I was so surprised to see how large the crowd was.

The small venue was jampacked with fans and super siksikan sila.

One spectator commented that they should have chosen a much larger venue for the venue.

Well, maybe they never imagined that Coco Martin, who plays Ramon in "Tayong Dalawa", is so popular now and a large number of fans will flock to the mall.

I think it was his first ever solo mall show.

Kahit ako, I was shocked with the very warm welcome by the Bicolanos to Coco Martin.

Nakapakaswerte ko sa pwesto ko because tyempo namang pagdating ni Coco Martin escorted by more or less 10 LCC guards and he really walked in front of me.

I was surprised na mas matangkad at mas maputi pa pala ako sa kanya. The scars on his face caused by the shooting mishap on the set of "Tayong Dalawa" are slightly visible, but he's such a gwapo talaga, especially when he smiles and makes some "kindat".

Before the show started, nagkaroon ng konting problema.

Nagtutulakan ang mga tao at super worried ang LCC Management for a possible stampede. They even warned that they will not start the show unless they behave well.

Kawawa 'yung mga maliliit na bata na isinama pa ng kanilang mga magulang just to see Coco Martin.

At last, the show has started. Coco went out from the backstage and super tilian ang fans.

Coco was obviously overwhelmed by the attendance and kept on saying thanks to the fans.

He rendered three songs for the audience, one of which is the song "Tayong Dalawa".

It seems like Coco has been used to doing mall tours and mukhang start pa lang 'to ng mas malalaking mall shows para sa kanya.

Because of that show in Naga City, Coco was unable to attend the 32nd Gawad Urian scheduled later in the evening where he won Best Supporting Actor for the movie "Jay".

Bago ang nasabing Naga City mall show, Coco was in Cebu with Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson and Jake Cuenca for their "Tayong Dalawa" Grand Fans Day.

Si Gerald naman ay kasama sa Kapamilya Peñafrancia Caravan with Melissa Ricks and Matt Evans tomorrow at the Naga City Plasa Quezon.

Other Kapamilya stars who graced the Peñafrancia fiesta in the previous days were Gabby Concepcion, Jason Abalos, Jed Madela, Mark Bautista, Rachelle Ann Go, Yeng Constantino, Jay-R Siaboc and Empress Schuck.

Scheduled today at SM City Naga are the Gigger Boys members AJ Perez, Dino Imperial and Chris Gutierrez at bukas naman ay sina Kristine Hermosa, Kathleen Hermosa and Justin Cuyugan.

32nd Gawad Urian (2009) winners: Coco Martin, Mylene Dizon and more

There's no stopping Coco Martin (right) to achieve more and more.

From being the Prince of Pinoy Indie Cinema to Teleserye Prince, now Coco Martin is URIAN Best Supporting Actor.

The "Tayong Dalawa" star has just won Best Supporting Actor in the 32nd GAWAD URIAN held last night, September 19, 2009 at the CCP Little Theater.

He won for his outstanding role in the indie film "Jay".

Baron Geisler (left), "Jay" lead actor, and Coco Martin (for "Serbis") lost the Best Actor trophy to veteran actor Ronnie Lazaro for Yanggaw.

Mylene Dizon was Best Actress for "100" while a model-turned-actress took home the Best Supporting Actress honor.

"Serbis" was the night's bigger, winning a total of 4 trophies: Best Picture, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography and Best Director for Brillante Mendoza.

"Yanggaw" and "Jay" both had 3.

All of the winners were actually independent films.

It's only now that I have realized that most of the nominees in this year's Gawad Urian are stars of ABS-CBN's Tayong Dalawa: Coco Martin, Gina Pareño, Anita Linda, Agot Isidro, Baron Geisler, Neil Ryan Sese and Mylene Dizon.

Mayweather wins over Marquez via unanimous decision

Floyd Mayweather Jr. of the USA and Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico both showed amazingly stunning speed and spirit inside the ring at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday evening, September 19, 2009.

But one of them displayed more skills and power than the other and he's no other than Floyd Mayweather who won the fight via unanimous decision.

The scores were 119-109, 120-107 and 119-108 all in favor of Mayweather Jr.

The first round of the fight between Mayweather and Marquez was slightly owned by the Mexican boxer, but Mayweather quickly recovered in Round 2 and knocked down Marquez.

Marquez regained his strength in Round 3 and in the next two rounds, but Mayweather was already in his winning form from the 6th round until the final round.

With that, Mayweather Jr has remained undefeated and will end his career with no single loss (that is if Mayweather is going to retire already after that.) His record is now 40 wins and 0 loss with 25 wins via knockout.

There's a possibility that he will face Filipino champ Manny Pacquiao if the latters wins his fight with Miguel Cotto on November.

Both Mayweather and Pacquiao are considered the best pound for pound boxers in the world.

The said fight called "Number One vs Numero One" also had some controversies.

During the weigh-ins last Friday, Mayweather weight 4 lbs more than Marquez and was subsequently fined.

And on the main event, Arnold Schwarzenegger was one of the ringside celebrities, but he got booed by the spectators the time he was seen on the monitor.

After the fight, there was a commotion that happened during the interview with Mayweather.

It all started when boxer Sugar Shane Mosley intervened during the post-fight interview of commentator Max Kellerman with Mayweather.

Mayweather said to Mosley: "I don't come up when you're doing your interviews. Don't disrespect me."

Before it got worse, Kellerman tried to control the situation and even mentioned Manny Pacquiao to get Mayweather's attention.

But Floyd got more irritated instead, grabbed the microphone from Kellerman and said, "Let me do the talking, you talk too much."

Carlo Aquino-Kris Bernal Kissing Scandal at Starbucks

Carlo Aquino and Kris Bernal are the subjects of a Starbucks scandal recently.

According to a tabloid report, Carlo and Kris were allegedly caught kissing in a dark corner of Starbucks Commonwealth at around 2:00 AM in the morning.

But just like most of the showbiz scandals, the said Starbucks scandal turned out to be a fake one.

Kris Bernal was interviewed by PEP and denied such kissing scandal but she admitted though she was once with Carlo at Starbucks.

She also stressed that it happened a long time ago, during the time they were working together for "Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?" on GMA 7 but they never kissed.

On television, Kris is being paired up with Aljur and the two are currently in an MU stage.

RJ Padilla portrays Uncle Robin in a biopic

RJ Padilla portrays action superstar Robin Padilla in a indie biopic movie entitled "Paano Ginawa Ang Isang Robin Padilla".

The 20-year-old RJ is the son of Robin's brother Rommel Padilla.

The true-to-life movie, which has been in-production since last year, is directed by Deo J. Fajardo Jr., who knows Robin a lot and directed him in more than 5 action movies.

Direk Deo will be portrayed in the movie by Richard Quan.

I wonder who's portraying Rustom Padilla.

And how about Robin's mom Eva Cariño.

Bebe Gandanghari is a perfect choice to play her own mom.
