'Pepito Manaloto' wins big in the ratings; 'Party Pilipinas' loses to ASAP XV
Michael V's Pepito Manaloto, a reality sitcom on GMA 7, scored the highest rating in Mega Manila when it premiered last Sunday, March 28, 2010.
According to the figures released by AGB Nielsen for that day, 'Pepito Manaloto' had a strong rating of 28.2% beating all its rival programs.
But it's not the case for Party Pilipinas which also had its debut last Sunday. The new show, which had K-pop group U-Kiss as its very special guest, got 15.5% for its 1st episode which was 1.9% lower than that of ASAP XV's Boracay Special Part 2. The controversial dance number of Anne Curtis and Sam Milby probably boosted ASAP's rating last Sunday even if the malfunction incident was already edited out.
Showbiz Central meanwhile still lost the ratings battle against The Buzz even if it had former The Buzz host Ruffa Gutierrez as its special guest.

Vice Ganda apologizes to Judy Ann Santos
Before anything gets worse, Showtime judge Vice Ganda has already apologized to Queen of Soap Judy Ann Santos in connection with Vice's joke on Showtime last Saturday, March 27, 2010.
Some fans of Judy Ann are said to be mad at Vice when he compared one contestant to Juday. In the said episode, Vice made this remark to one chubby girl: "Ang ganda-ganda pa ng kutis mo. Para kang si Judy Ann noon. At ganon pa din naman ngayon na buntis sya."
Juday's bestfriend Gladys Reyes, who's also among the judges, later said HI to Juday who was watching at home. "Don't worry, ipagtatanggol kita dito kay Vice," she said.
It's unsure though if Judy Ann was really offended or not, but if she really was, Vice Ganda already said sorry to her in an interview with SNN last night.
According to Vice, it was unintentional and supposed to be a joke. He was about to mention a soap brand but cut himself off when he realized he's not allowed to mention it.

Ricky Martin admits he's gay - Finally!!!
Just a few hours ago (March 29, 2010), Latin Pop Superstar Ricky Martin has ended the 10-year-old rumor that he's gay.On his official site, the Puerto Rican singer who gave the world smash hits like 'Livin' La Vida Loca' and 'She Bangs', has posted an entry (in Español) that he is indeed gay:
"Estoy orgulloso de decir que soy un afortunado hombre homosexual. Estoy orgullos deser quien soy. [I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am]," he confessed.
So why it took him 10 years to admit it? In 2000, when asked about the gay rumors, Ricky said that the rumors were started by people who don't have a life or perhaps it's because they wanted him to be like them.
And this 2010, the rumors turn out to be true. According to Ricky, his admission got something to do with him being a father to his 19-month-old twins Matteo and Valentino (born via gestational surrogacy). "Today I take full responsibility for my decisions and my actions... Enough is enough. This has to change. This wasn't supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago. It's supposed to happen now. Today is my
day, this is my time and this is my moment," he said.
On his Twitter account, Ricky M tweeted a meaningful quote from Martin Luther King Jr (both in Spanish and English) then a short tweet "my life - my vida" with a link to his blog entry.
PBB Teen Clash housemates partially revealed
Three of the 30 possible housemates of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Teen Clash of 2010 have been revealed tonight on SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon.
But only clues were given out. One possible housemate is a sexy lady from Mindoro who also happens to be a beauty queen. (This is just another Niña Jose, Claire Cabiguin, Linda Backlund or Priscila Navidad).

Tom Rodriguez gets lead role on Precious Heart's "Love Me Again"
After two supporting roles (on Precious Hearts Romances Presents: My Cheating Heart and Your Song Presents: Isla), Tom Rodriguez has grabbed a lead role on the next offering of Precious Hearts.
Tom plays as Valerie Concepcion on "Love Me Again" which starts airing this Monday, April 5, and will replace "Lumang Piso Para Sa Piso".
Wow, Tom is on the track of becoming the next top leading man on ABS-CBN after he exited the PBB house 4 months ago. In the movies, he will be Angelica Panganiban's newest leading man. Apart from that, he's also the newest member of the singing group Voiz Boys. I hope a major clothing endorsement would be next.

Helen Nicolette Henson is the new Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2010
Nicolette, who is fondly called as Nikki or Nikette, is 21-years-old and has a degree of Broadcast Journalism. She now works as a writer, host and model. Standing at 5'8.5", her vital stats are 35-25-35.
She was also Mutya ng San Fernando 2006 and Mutya ng Kapampangan 2006.
During the Binibining Pilipinas pageant last March 6, Henson was awarded Miss Photogenic, Miss Philippine Air Lines and Miss Del Monte Fit 'N Right. One of the big favorites, she finished as 2nd Runner Up.
Back then, her supporters even protested that she should have atleast won any of the three major titles and now their wish has somehow been granted as Henson has replaced Raj today as Miss Philippines in the Miss Universe 2010 pageant which is scheduled in the middle of the year.

Noynoy still 1st, Villar 2nd on latest SWS survey
Liberal Party Presidential Candidate Benigno 'Noynoy' Aquino has regained its major lead over Nacionalista's Manuel 'Manny' Villar on the SWS Survey conducted last March 19-22, 2010.
The survey, which had 2,100 respondents, still has Noynoy on top with 37% followed by Villar with 28%. Remember that during last month's survey of SWS, Villar almost grabbed the lead from Noynoy with just 2% difference.

Maria Venus Raj dethroned
Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2010 Maria Venus Raj from CamSur has been dethroned and will no longer represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2010 pageant.
Raj has been stripped off the title because of "questionable birth certificate" as reported on TV Patrol World tonight.
This is not a very good news as the Fil-Indian Raj is already considered an early favorite in the Miss U pageant where the Philippines have had no single semifinalist during the last 10 years.
It's also disappointing that the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. found out the irregularity on Raj's birth certificate three weeks after she won the title.

Justin Bieber's "Baby" stays at #1 on MYX Hit Chart
Justin Bieber continues to win MYX followers with another song of his
being crowned again as the #1 song/music video on MYX countdown,
that's after two no.1 songs in the past ("One Time", "One Less Lonely
Girl").
For the 3rd consecutive week, the song "Baby" by Justin Bieber feat.
Ludacris is still the #1 most requested song on MYX Hit Chart for this
week (March 28-April 03) but it's facing a possible takeover from Lady
Gaga and Beyonce whose collaboration "Telephone" is now on #2 only 2
weeks after its debut. But will the Bieber fans allow this?

A 12-year-old puppeteer, hip hop kiddies, four singers, electricity
dad and fire show dancers were among those successful auditionees
shown last night on ABS-CBN's Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT).
But among them, I'm seeing a lot of promise to 17-year-old singer
Miles Blue Sy from Quezon City who opted to sing his own composition
during the audition.
The title of his original song is "Perfect Girl" and it sounded good
but since it was the first time to hear it, the song was not catchy
and judge Ai-Ai delas Alas didn't appreciate it. She gave him a "NO"
but the other two judges saw the potential in him and said "YES".
Miles' best qualities are his ability to compose, great voice,
fresh-looking and chinito features. Judge Kris Aquino even noted that
he looks like a character of an Asianovela. Some say he looks like
Eric Santos, but I think he's a bit more brusko.
Aside from Miles, also having big potential among those shown last
night are Manila's Richard Villanueva who sang "Sana'y Wala Nang
Wakas", Lanao Del Norte's Sherwin Baguion who performed "Tayong
Dalawa" and the Fire Attraction from Cebu.

KC Concepcion's latest single "Not Like The Movies" makes a strong debut on Pinoy MYX Countdown this week.
For its first week in the countdown, it's currently on a very high 10th slot and expected to rank higher on the coming weeks.
"Not Like The Movies" is actually the carrier single of KC's latest album entitled "KC" under Sony Music Philippines.
Another new entry in the chart is "I Don't Want To Fall" by Juris.

Rocky Salumbides does gay scenes in 'Tarima'
Pinoy Big Brother Double Up ex-housemate and international model Rocky Salumbides, who also happens to be Eula Valdez's boyfriend, has daring scenes in the soon-to-be-released indie film "Tarima".It's Rocky's launching film and also his "baptism of fire" in having a love scene with an old-aged gay played by fashion and cosmetic expert Fanny Serrano. And reportedly, they were totally unwrapped when they did it.
Aside from Rocky, Fanny also has a kissing scene with another young actor.
Comedian Chokoleit is also in the cast and very excitingly, he also has a love scene with new actor Danh Rivera.
'Tarima' is directed by Neil “Buboy” Tan (Ataul For Rent, Pasang Krus and Barang and produced by Cinema Liberte.

Anne Curtis video scandal continues to spread online
Despite the appeal of Viva Talent Agency and its talent Anne Curtis to stop posting the latter's swimsuit malfunction photos and videos on the web, people still continue to do such, most especially on a social networking site.
This is a screen shot from Facebook and Anne Curtis' video scandal is being downloaded there minute by minute. Oh no! It must be stopped! But how?
Followers of Anne have thought of making fan pages on Facebook that condemn those who post the actress' photos and videos.
One fan page called "RESPETO NAMAN KAY ANNE CURTIS! BABAE SYA!" now has over 10,000 fans as well as newly-made pages like "We Condemn People Who Posted Anne Curtis’ Swimsuit Malfunction Photo!!" and "Stop Spreading Anne Curtis's Scandal Picture..." which continue to get more fans.
There are also some who are appealing to Facebook users to stop looking at Anne Curtis' scandal photo. 'Yung kay Vice Ganda na lang daw haha! Is Vice Ganda aware of his own photo scandal?

I have watched the video myself to see what really happened and there I saw that the malfunction happened when Sam Milby lifted Anne Curtis during their dance number.
It was merely an accident and no one really liked it to happen but I just do hope that some people should not point fingers to those who don't have direct participation on what happened.
The ones to be blamed there are the ASAP XV production team, its camera men, the director and even the back-up dancers for not noticing it immediately. As I've said in my previous posts, those who watched should have been prevented from taking pictures and videos of it if they have stopped the number right away.
Viva I think should go after the show's staff for not taking good care of Anne in the said production number.
I love Anne and I sympathize with her for what happened. I know that she is a strong person. I'm sure she'd take it just a bad dream she had for a night and looks forward to more good things in the future. In fact, this Boracay incident is less scandalous than the "kissing video of Anne and Richard Gutierrez" which leaked online in 2006.

Congratulations to Mr. Ireland Kamal Orlando Ibrahim for winning the Mr. World 2010 title just a while ago!The Mr. World 2010 finals was held at the Songdo Convensia or the Songdo Convention Center in Incheon, Korea where Ibrahim won over 73 other desirable men from around the world.
Kamal Ibrahim is 24 years old and works as a VIP host / TV presenter in Ireland. He's also a model in his country.
He's actually among the shortest candidates (stands 5'11.5) but he scored higher above them all.
A great singer, Ibrahim also made it in the Top 20 of Mr. World 2010 Talent Fast Track.
Sorry girls, but this first Mr. World winner from Ireland is already taken. Now that's sad!
