Danica Flores Magpantay, a Fine Arts student from UP, has just won as Ford Models Supermodel of the World Philippines 2010.

Danica won the title last night at the SM Mall of Asia's Main Atrium. She bested 12 other supermodel-type contestants including Sha Whitaker, who won as 1st Runner Up and Kim Fernandez as the 2nd Runner Up.

She earns the right to represent the Philippines in the 2011 Ford Models Supermodel of the World competition.

During the 2010 contest held in Brazil, Philippines almost won the title when Chat Almarvez finished as 1st Runner Up.

The new Supermodel of the World Philippines winner happens to be the daughter of Supermodel of the World 1990 and now a professional make-up artist Milagros "Lala" Flores. Lala represented the Philippines internationally and won the Crest Best Smile award.

20 Hot Men at the Philippine Fashion Week Spring / Summer 2011

The Philippine Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011 has just concluded (sad face over here)...

The said event ran from October 26 to 31, featuring the creations of top Filipino designers and leading fashion brands in the Philippines.

But of course, let's not forget the hundreds of models who walked the ramp to showcase their various collections.

They're not really the ones being featured in the event, but they were definitely added attractions.

And here's 20 of those who modeled in various events of the PFW S/S 2011: (Great pictures from JR Sala alkeiser.multiply.com)

Miss World 2010 Controversy: Was Norway cheated and robbed of the crown?

A night has passed already since the Miss World 2010 Finals happened in Sanya, China last Saturday, but still a major, major controversy is still haunting the 60th edition of the pageant.

The Top 3 results were actually generally favorable for the pageant fans as Misses USA, Botswana and Venezuela were among the top favorites for the crown.

Miss Norway Mariann Birkedal meanwhile, who was the #1 favorite and the #1 bet by the bookies, ended up only in the Top 7 quarter-finalists.

That's actually not shocking at all 'coz in a pageant anything could happen. And also, it's not the worst thing that happened in Miss World where the #1 odds-on favorite failed to win the crown or atleast secure a runner-up placement. Remember Miss Philippines Carlene Aguilar in 2005? She only entered the Top 15 semis but failed to advance farther.

Miss Norway and Miss China

But in Miss Norway's case, some pageant followers could not believe that she only finished in the Top 7 while the hometown candidate Miss China Tang Xiao, who's not even a big favorite, placed higher than her, finishing in the Top 5. So, are we talking about the host candidate being favored to win? Or is it because of the so-called "politics in pageant"?

A brand new article at the Daily Mail Online digs deeper on this. Entitled "Miss World contest turns ugly: China charged with blocking favourite Miss Norway following diplomatic row", the article states that the Miss World 2010 results might have been influenced the current diplomatic feud between China and Norway.

According to speculations, the judges composed of former Miss World titleholders allegedly were pressured not to favor Norway. China is said to be furious after the Oslo-based Nobel Peace Prize committee awarded the coveted prize to the jailed Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo earlier this month, the article states.

People from Norway allegedly are starting to believe that their candidates have been cheated and robbed of the chance to win what could have been their first Miss World title.

Ex-Miss Norway Kathrine Sorland, who finished 3rd Runner Up in Miss World 2002, told Daily Mail Online: "I was sure she would win. They must have mixed politics and business. Without jumping to conclusions I would stress that Miss World competitions have always been political. And the relations between China and Norway are very strained at the moment."

The Miss World Organization hasn't reacted yet on these allegations.

Michelle and Ehra Madrigal are undoubtedly the hottest pair of sisters in Philippine showbiz. Agree?

FHM Philippines definitely agrees to that as they feature the hot Madrigal sisters in their November 2010 issue.

It's actually long overdue already for Michelle and Ehra to pose together in a magazine cover. It has been requested by FHM readers to have them on the cover and finally FHM has granted the request.

It's out now!

Who's yummier: Angelica Panganiban or Solenn Heussaff?

Actor Derek Ramsay faced one tough question during his press con for Belo Men held recently when he was asked who's more yummy, is it his
current girlfriend Angelica Panganiban or his ex-gf Solenn Heussaff?

Angelica and Solenn

And he answered Angelica, which was kinda expected because she's the
current one. Derek said that he chose Angelica as the yummier one
because he's with her longer than he was with Solenn, who was his girlfriend for 4 years.

But Derek should have not answered that question, 'coz it was like who's better in bed or who tastes more delicious for him. Lolit Solis
even titled her article on Pilipino Star Ngayon this way: "Kesa sa ex
na si Solenn, Derek mas nasarapan kay Angelica!"

Solenn reportedly got offended with Derek's comparison of her and Angelica that she immediately fired back and said that Richard Gutierrez, who's being linked to her, as more "gwapo" and more gentleman than Derek, as reported on Pilipino Star Ngayon.

Now I wanna know how you think guys. On the point of view of someone who hasn't "tasted" both girls or hasn't been with them for so long, who for you looks yummier, is it Angelica or Solenn? Vote on the poll
below...
