The star-studded "Parade of Stars" of the Metro Manila Film Festival Philippines 2009 has just started (12 noon today, December 24th).
The annual 'Parade of Stars' starts from the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City and ends at the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park, City of Manila where a special program awaits spectators and festival fans.
Seven (7) official entries for the MMFF 2009 will showcase their respective high-budgeted floats and compete for the "Best Float" award.
The entry with the best float will be awarded with a cash prize of P700,000 during the festival awards night scheduled on the 28th.
The said parade signals the start of the MMFF 2009, but the regular showing of the 7 official entries starts tomorrow, Christmas Day.
Are we expecting Krista Ranillo on the side of Manny Pacquiao on their float for "Wapakman"?
Krista said in one of her interviews that it's going to be a surprise but one report says that the movie producer has announced that the sexy actress will not join the float to avoid another controversy.
There are also speculations that Manny's wife Jinkee will join him in the float.
It will also be interesting to see Cristine Reyes on the float of "Ang Darling Kong Aswang" and her ex-boyfriend Dennis Trillo with rumored new girlfriend Heart Evangelista on "Mano Po 6" float.
Sharon Cuneta will not be joining the float of her movie because she's sill mourning for the death of her Yaya Luring last Sunday.
Ruffa Gutierrez, Zoren Legaspi, Maja Salvador and Rayver Cruz will lead the float of "Shake, Rattle and Roll 11".
