MYX Hit Chart for January 30, 2011: Sarah Geronimo's "Sino Nga Ba S'ya" is #1 for the 2nd week

Sarah Geronimo's latest single "Sino Nga Ba S'ya?" is on top of this week's MYX Hit Chart.

Now on its 5th week in the countdown, the song lands on 1st slot for the 2nd consecutive week.

Just behind is Katy Perry's "Fireworks" followed by "Hoot" by the KPop group Girls' Generation.

There are two new entries this week which are already rank so high on their 1st week and these are Gloc9's "Walang Natira" and Taylor Swift's "Back To December" in 4th and 5th slots respectively.

Will any of them grab the top spot from Sarah Geronimo next week? It all depends on Sarah's fans if they will allow it.

This week's countdown has a ratio of 10:10, 10 OPM and 10 foreign songs.

Enzo Pineda is #1 Celeb Candy Cutie for 2010

StarStruck V Runner-Up Enzo Pineda has been voted as the Hottest Candy Cutie for 2010, beating last year's top Candy Cutie Sam Concepcion.



20-year-old Enzo got the highest combined text and online votes from the voting conducted by Candy Magazine from July to August.

Sam, who was the top choice for 4 consecutive years (2006 to 2009), dropped to #2 this year, but definitely this cutie, who's turning 18 in 20 days, has already set a record (4-time #1 Candy Cutie) that's hard to beat by any other celebrity cuties.

Katy Perry rocks Singapore, performs at SingFest 2010

Everyone in Singapore is talkin' about Katy Perry now as she draws excitement for the SingFest 2010 where she's one of the featured
performers.

The 3-day SingFest 2010 kicks off tonight, August 3, and Katy Perry will perform and 4 others such as the Tokio Hotel, Orianthi, The Like
and the WonderGirls. Tomorrow, August 4, Kanye West will headline the 2nd day of the event.

At yesterday's presscon held in Singapore's Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Katy Perry charmed local media in Singapore as well as the fans when
she gamely dressed up in a 2-piece bikini.

As what I've shared to you last night, the solo presscon for Katy was
held at the hotel's swimming pool and it was the first time for Katy
to hold a presscon on a pool. On Twitter, she tweeted, "I
just held a press conference in a swimming pool, no joke. #onlyinasia."

I've seen pictures of Katy Perry in swimsuit from her Singapore presscon and she's way h-o-t reaffirming herself as Maxim's Hottest Woman for 2010.

Singfest 2010 takes place August 3, 4 & 5 at Fort Canning Park, Singapore | Check full schedule!

Called as Southeast Asia's biggest music festival, the Singfest 2010
is happening tomorrow August 3 until August 5 at the Fort Canning Park
in Singapore.

The Singfest 2010 will be attended not only by Singaporeans, but also by those coming from other Southeast Asian countries.

Philippine Island(s) (Assassin), (XB) GENSAN, Ateneo & DLSU among top trending topics on Twitter

Four Philippine-related terms made it to the Top 10 Trending Topics
worldwide on Twitter just today, July 24, between 1 PM to 6 PM.

They are "Philippine Island", "GENSAN" and "Ateneo" with the first one even peaked at #2.

Obviously, two of those refer to the two Showtime finalists who competed in the show's grand finals held earlier where XB Gensan was announced as Champion while the Philippine Islands Assassin as Runner Up.

But many wondered why the trending keywords were not the exact names
of the two groups.

Here's my theory.

It's most likely because of how it was tweeted. Some have misspelled "Assassin" as "Assasin" (I'm guilty of that) and of course, the two words weren't counted as one and the same.

Some have also tweeted Philippine Island (singular) instead of Philippine Islands (plural). As a result, "Philippine Island" has
outnumbered any other terms close to it thus it was the one trending and not the complete name.

Philippine Island even stayed longer there, peaking at #2, because Fil-Am-Mexican singer Jasmine Villegas tweeted this: "Philippine
Island mahal kita!! Pinoy Pride Baby!" with 400+ retweets by other
users. She made that tweet upon seeing the Philippine Island among the Trending Topics.

Then a fake Katy Perry account later helped the term maintain its
position by tweeting, "I love the Philippine Island! I was there last
year and twas awesome." And also it made 400+ retweets.

Without mentioning "Showtime", GMANewsTv told its Twitter Followers
about why Philippine Island is trending, "So why's 'Philippine Isand' such a hot topic in the Twitterverse right now? Because of
earthquakes, dancing, spam, & 'Katy Perry'".

As for XB Gensan, GENSAN (Peak: #6) was the only one trending because some people
tweeted #XB GENSAN while others tweeted XB GENSAN. Obviously, GENSAN will have the higher count with #XB and XB being counted separately.

Singfest 2010 in Singapore | Lineup includes Kanye West & Katy Perry

Singapore will hold Singfest 2010 this August 3 to 5 at the Fort Canning Park.

The Singfest is considered the biggest music festival in South East Asia. Though it started in 2007, it's only the 3rd time that the
Singfest will be held this 2010 because there was no Singfest staged last year.

The line-up of performers have already been announced and they're highly diverse, coming from various countries. They include:
