Mikael Daez starts shooting for 'Temptation Island' (Set Photos)

Mikael Daez has replaced Paulo Avelino as one of the leading men in Regal Film's upcoming film "Temptation Island".

Paulo's role in the film went to Mikael after the former begged off for the role due to health reasons, as what was revealed by his manager Leo Dominguez last Friday.

"Because @mepauloavelino fell ill and is still recuperating, he had no choice but to give up his leading man role in 'temptation island'.:(" Dominguez posted on Twitter.

Paulo was advised by his doctor to rest after he was diagnosed with pneumonia.

Cameras have already started rolling for "Temptation Island" since yesterday in Ilocos now with its new cast member Mikael Daez.

The newbie actor, who will soon play on TV as Marian Rivera's leading man in "Amaya", is playing leading man to Solenn Heussaff in his debut movie.

And guess what's Mikael and Solenn's first scene together? A kissing scene.

Check out fresh photos of the cast on the set of "Temptation Island":

Angelica Panganiban, Best Actress (Comedy/Musical) at Enpress Awards 2011

Angelica Panganiban has won Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for Musical or Comedy in the 8th ENPRESS Golden Screen Awards for Movies held last night, April 2, 2011, at the Teatrino Promenade Greenhills.

Angelica won for her outstanding portrayal as the virginal bride turned screaming "gay" in the 2010 box-office hit "Here Comes The Bride".

Jason Ivler's mom Marlene Aguilar plans to enter showbiz

Marlene Aguilar, mother of road shooting suspect Jason Ivler, has expressed her intention to enter the showbiz world.

photo of Marlene Aguilar, Jason Ivler's mother

Marlene Aguilar guested this afternoon on GMA's Showbiz Central and sat down for the show's "Don't Lie To Me" segment hosted by John Lapus.

During her guesting, Marlene was asked with many questions, and she gamely and honestly answered all of them.

One of the questions was: "Sinasamahan mo ba ng arte ang mga interview mo sa TV?" and Marlene said YES.

Lapus also asked, "Sa tingin mo, may naging pagkukulang ka sa pagpapalaki mo kay Jason Iver?". Marlene again answered YES.

She also said YES to the question if she's willing to enter showbiz and then revealed that she enrolled before in the "best acting school" in New York and was once part of a foreign film.

And for her dream role, Marlene wishes to play a "diwata ng lagim" or a "dyosa ng dilim".

However, when asked who she wants to be her leading man, she couldn't name one because according to her, she doesn't watch TV at home thus she doesn't know any actors' names. Oh really?

Marlene's son Jason Ivler once entered showbiz when he played Bullet in the hit 90's youth-oriented show T.G.I.S. while his brother Freddie Aguilar was an OPM hitmaker during the 70's and 80's.
