Bea Alonzo 'Eat Bulaga' guesting (video)

Bea Alonzo guested for the first time on GMA 7's 'Eat Bulaga' last Monday, April 18, 2011.

The Kapamilya actress was there to promote her upcoming film "Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak!" with Bossing Vic Sotto, who's a main host of the show.

Also guesting there for the first time to promote for the movie are Kapamilya child stars Zaijian Jaranilla and Xyriel Manabat, as well as homegrown ABS-CBN talent Thou Reyes.

They played in the show's "Pinoy Henyo".

Vic's co-hosts in Eat Bulaga, Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola, are also part of "Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak!".

Here's a video of their guesting, just in case you missed it last Monday:

"Eat Bulaga" is produced by TAPE, Inc. and it's only being shown in the Kapuso Network, that's why Kapamilya stars are welcome to do guesting there.

That particular guesting of Bea and co. was also not a "live" one. It was taped last April 13 and was only shown last Apr. 18.

Vic, Wally and Jose in turn have also guested several times on ABS-CBN shows, such as ASAP Rocks, The Buzz and a live interview with Korina Sanchez on TV Patrol.

"Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak" will open in theaters this Saturday, April 23.

Dolphy wins both Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor awards in the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival

Comedy King Dolphy was honored both as Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor in the 36th Metro Manila Film Festival.

The awarding was held tonight during the festival's Gabi ng Parangal at the Meralco Theater.

Only the Top 3 nominees for each category were announced.

Dolphy won as Best Actor for "Father Jejemon" beating Vic Sotto ("Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote") and Yul Servo ("Rosario").

For the Best Supporting Actor award, Dolphy won for "Rosario" and was the top choice over Alwyn Uytingco (Ang Tanging Ina Mo: Last Na 'To), Roy Alvarez (Father Jejemon) and Sid Lucero (Rosario).

It's Dolphy's first Best Supporting Actor award from MMFF but already his second time to win Best Actor. He previously won in the 1990 MMFF for the movie "Espadang Patpat".

The Best Actress trophy meanwhile went to first-timer Ai-Ai delas Alas for "Ang Tanging Ina Mo: Last Na 'To". She bested Marian Rivera ("Super Inday and the Golden Bibe") and Carla Abellana ("Shake, Rattle & Roll 12").

It was a big surprise that Jennylyn Mercado who was highly praised for her performance in the movie "Rosario" was not even one of the Top 3 nominees for Best Actress.

MMDA indeed granted Ai-Ai's wish to give her the award. She has been longing for it. She even kneeled down on national T.V., begging the MMDA to let her win as Best Actress.

Other acting awards went to Eugene Domingo as Best Supporting Actress and Xyriel Manabat as Best Child Performer both for "Ang Tanging Ina Mo: Last Na 'To".

Eugene, who already won the same award in 2007 MMFF for "Bahay Kubo", triumphed over Alessandra De Rossi and Gina Pareño both for "Dalaw".

Xyriel Manabat is MMFF 2010 Best Child Performer

6-year-old Xyriel Manabat won as Best Child Performer in the 36th Metro Manila Film Festival or MMFF 2010 Awards Night held earlier tonight at the Meralco Theater.

Xyriel won for the movie "Ang Tanging Ina: Last Na 'To", an entry from Star Cinema topbilled by Ms. Ai-Ai delas Alas.

It's Xyriel's first movie and here she is winning her first acting award.

The other two nominees in the Best Child Performer category were Maliksi Morales for "Dalaw" and Buboy Villar for "Super Inday and the Golden Bibe".

Jillian Ward of "Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote" was not shortlisted as a nominee.

With this victory, it's not a doubt that Xyriel is the "real" breakthrough child star of 2010.

On TV, she portrayed the young Agua and Bendita, played the title role in "Momay" and starred opposite Zaijian Jaranilla in "Noah".
